The article examines the role of theology in the context of globalization and its challenges to the human community. It explores the issue of human solidarity in the context of increasing economic polarities, cultural upheavals, and social disintegration. It offers an “overview” of globalization by looking at the current demographics of the global village, an “under-view” by examining the problem of poverty, and an “inner-view” by investigating the role the human heart plays in our current world (dis)order. In sum, the article describes contours of a liberating theological anthropology for a globalized modern world.
